Paying back my payday loan

How do I pay back my payday loan?

Easy – we take the agreed repayment amount from your debit card on your next payday – there's nothing else for you to do.

Can I defer my payment?

We do understand that occasionally people will need to borrow money for a second month. We call this a deferral. You will have to repay the charges and we suggest you pay as much as possible to reduce further charges. If you feel you may need to defer your loan, please contact our customer services team on 0871_ 271 6111† (Call charges apply – 10p per minute from BT landlines, mobiles and other providers may vary) where one of our dedicated advisers will be pleased to help you, or visit the Existing Customer login area.

My payday or debit card details have changed

If your payday has changed, or you have a new debit card, please contact our customer services team on 0871_ 271 6111† as soon as possible and they will make the necessary changes!

What happens if I can’t make a payment?

We understand that people's circumstances can change. If this is the case, you must let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.

The most important things to note are:

1. Don't borrow money you don't think you can pay back
2. Talk to us and we will help as much as possible

Please be aware that non repayment by you will result in MEM reporting this to the Credit Reference Agencies which may have a negative effect on your credit score. What do I need to do if I have changed my mind?

You can withdraw from your agreement within 14 days of you signing the loan agreement by contacting us by post, email or telephone (on 0800_ 280 2544). Upon withdrawal from the agreement, you will need to repay without undue delay, the full amount of credit and interest accrued (at a daily rate until the date of withdrawal).
